Jim Blurton Ball Pein Hammer
The Jim Blurton ball pein hammer is composed of EN24 steel that has been hardened and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 58. This is a clip-drawing hammer that is incredibly well balanced. It has an 18″ high-quality wood handle that is grooved for grip.” Extra protection has been added to the fitting of the handle by using a brass rivet through the middle of the eye. Any burrs on the head should be ground back on a regular basis. As part of the Jim Blurton Skilled Farrier Tool collection, the ball pein hammer was designed and tested at Jim’s Forge in Mid Wales, making it an essential piece of farrier equipment.
